Superb Rare Mid 18th C Worcester Blue Scale Lidded Sauce Tureen & Stand C 1768. Presenting a Stunning, Scarce and Early Antique Porcelain Lidded Sauce Tureen with Stand which was Produced at the Worcester Factory in the First Period and Dates to the Mid 18th Century. Decorated with Shaped Cartouches Framed with Rococo Gilt which Contain Exquisitely Hand Painted European Flowers on a Blue Scale Ground With Nauturalistic Green Hued Crabstock Handles Either Side and Adorned with Trailing Hand Applied Flowers, the Stand and Lid are Decorated in the Same Manner With Moulded Gilt Trim to Lid and Stand.

Square Seal Makers Mark to Base of Tureen and Stand. The Stand Measures 21 cm Long x 16 cm and Aprox 12 cm High to Tip of Handle on Lid. Good Antique Condition, for Vast Age and Delicacy, with a small firing crack to rim of tureen, which does not go through porcelain, a shallow chip to foot rim, of Stand, which is probably from historical testing of porcelain, and also a small firing crack to stand rim with a further faint hairline crack. Minute chips to base of lid, which cannot be seen from the top and. There are losses to the flowers which is commensurate with age. Antique Piece which is Almost 250 Years Old. Very Rare and Beautiful Piece.
