SUPERB EXTREMELY RARE GEORGIAN 18th CENTURY MARITIME SILKWORK MOUNTED SNUFF BOX. The quality of the craftsmanship is superb, this i believe would have once belonged to a Navel officer in the 18th century and been a riminder of his love waiting back home for him, it would have sat proudly on a table ready to be used daily, this was many many years ago when times were so very different, if this could talk i bet it would have some fascinating stories to tell, it is so very tactile and once held it has the most wonderful feel. This isnt a small snuff box but a good size snuff box. This will add something very special to any collection, my photos dont do it justice. This is in lovely condition for its age, it has the glass missing to the top but would be very easy to have replaced, it doesnt detract at all from its beauty, just mentioned for accuracy..
