RARE SUPERB Antique VICTORIAN cast Iron HALL TREE CHERUBS GRIFFINS 78 h. Offering a stunning 19th Century Cast Iron Hall Tree. A feast for the eyes! At the top -- 5 substantial hooks with "griffin/chimera" heads. A beautiful lady's head is centered between the 5 hooks.

A figure of a robust cherub mirthfully takes center stage, framed by intricate arabesques of grape clusters, leaves and botanicals. Below, a "Sultan's" head standing guard. Brass bar in lower part to hold umbrellas or canes. Removable drip pan -- appropriately in the form of a shell. Lower portion gracefully flares out in wings.

No signature -- probably American, English or French. It is in very good antique condition. Minimal wear commensurate with age and gentle use. Minimal paint loss -- commensurate with age and use. Please note one ball missing on left exterior side (arabesque) near top.

A very impressive piece measuring 78 tall (in full height). The base measures 32" across and the top measures 30" across.

The hall tree very sculptural. A work of art, sure to make a dramatic statement.
