Antique Persian Parsi silver tray. Solid 900 silver - marked and signed by maker in Farsi.

Of rectangular shape with two chunky cast silver handles decorated with foliage. War like band of men holding various items make the first line of decoration in high crisp repousse work. Second line is beautifully engraved with leaves flowers and fruit.

Inner central design are more Zoroastrian figures either side of a rampant winged beast. In each corner is the image of the supreme God Ahora Mazda Faravahar, the winged lord of wisdom. Excellent original antique condition with very crisp decoration. Size - 25 x 17 cms. Tray - 42 x 18.5 cms.
